SHELBY - Funeral services for Margaret Robinson Asphy, 74, of Shelby will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrews Church, Shelby. She died Dec. 11, 2006, at Baptist East Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. Burial will be in Shelby Cemetery under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Survivors include five sons, James Robinson of Oaklawn, Ill., Eddie Robinson of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Robert Robinson, Larry Robinson and Kerenski Robinson, all of Shelby; three daughters, Doris Shannon of Detroit, Mich., and Lula Robinson and Patricia Robinson, both of Shelby; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.

Bowman

BELZONI - Funeral services for Lee Lester Bowman, 81, of Belzoni will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Delta Burial Corp. chapel, Belzoni. She died Dec. 10, 2006, at Humphreys County Memorial Hospital, Belzoni. Burial will be in Travelers Rest Cemetery, Isola.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter.

INDIANOLA - Funeral services for Hardin Brim, 54, of Indianola will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hayes Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Dec. 6, 2006, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Brim of Indianola; a son Aundray Prince of Yonkers, N.Y.; two daughters, Tammy Prince and Yolanda Prince, both of Indianola; two brothers, Charles Brim and Marvin Brim, both of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Glenda Lewis, Sandra Brim and Ella Wee Donald, all of Indianola; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Coers was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Elizabeth Davis of Memphis, Tenn.; her husband, Lt. Col. Burt Nelson Coers, M.D., of Meridian; and her daughter, Janice Coers Caraway.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathleen Coers Davis and her husband, Zabron A. Davis III of Natchez; her son-in-law, Charles Stanford Caraway of Greenville; her grandchildren, Zabron A. INDIANOLA - Funeral services for Dora Mae Myers, 79, of Indianola will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stranger Home Church, Isola. She died Dec. 11, 2006, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery under the direction of Delta Burial Corp., Belzoni.

Survivors include nine sons, two daughters and one sister.

The wake will be Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at Delta Burial chapel.

Owens

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Funeral services for Unita Lee Carman Owens, 51, of Chattanooga will be at 2 p.m. Monday at South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, Ga. She died Dec. 12, 2006, at a local hospital. Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Mrs. Owens was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a master's degree in nursing and had spent many years working in California and Huntsville, Ala., as a registered nurse. She had lived in the Chattanooga and north Georgia area for the past 13 years and had worked as a nurse practitioner with Memorial Hospital's Fast Track program. She also had memberships with Living Covenant Church and the Emergency Nurses Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mabel Carman.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Jay Owens; a stepson, Javis J. Owens of Phenix City, Ala.; her mother-in-law, Patti Edge of Chattanooga; brothers Jimmy and Jack Carman of Mississippi; and one nephew, Jarrett Carman.

GREENVILLE - Graveside services for Mary Laverne Redding Parks, 88, of Oxford and formerly of Greenville, a retired chiropractor with Parks Chiropractic Clinic in Greenville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery, Paris, Ark. She died Dec. 12, 2006, at Church Street Personal Care Home, Ecru. Waller Funeral Home, Oxford, has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Parks was a Baptist and a retired chiropractor with Parks Chiropractic Clinic in Greenville where she was a former resident. Mrs. Parks was also a former cosmetologist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Parks.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Barry Swain and his wife, Ginger, of Abbeville, Miss.; and Taylor, Drew and Alex Swain of Abbeville.

Raymond

LELAND - Funeral services for Frances Raymond, 56, of Leland will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Dec. 13, 2006, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Mrs. Raymond was born July 4, 1950, in New Orleans, La., to the late Fred and Nettie Weaver. She was a longtime resident of Leland and a former nurse's assistant at South Sunflower County Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, James Raymond of Leland; one daughter, Connie Mardis and her husband, James T., of Lake Village, Ark.; three sons, Freddy Raymond and his wife, Monica, of Avon, Frankie Raymond and his wife, Christy, of Greenville, and Billy Raymond and his wife, Julie, of Clinton, Iowa; her sister, Lee Nell Boleware of Leland; and 13 grandchildren.

DREW - Funeral services for Alexander Scott Jr., 69, of Arlington, Texas, and formerly of Drew will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Life Church, Cleveland. She died Dec. 9, 2006, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Dorothy Jean Stewart was born in Wayside, Miss., on Jan. 10, 1945, to Francis Wright Stewart and Roosevelt Stewart Sr. Dorothy confessed her life of God at an early age.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Roosevelt; four brothers, Robert Stewart, Roosevelt Stewart Jr., J.C. Stewart and Alfred Stewart; one sister and brother-in-law, Mattie Stewart Augustus and the Rev. Hudson Augustus; and two nephews, Robert Cage and James Earl Stewart.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Richard Stewart, Dennis Stewart, Gary Nellum and Andrew Stewart, all of Greenville; five daughters, Denise (Reginald) Stewart, Zana Washington, Tara Stewart (Renovielle) Byars, Patricia (Miguel) Stewart and Doris Stewart, all of Greenville; three brothers, Alton Stewart, Howard Stewart and James (Marie) Stewart; a sister, Luvenia Stewart; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Stewart of Greenville; 18 grandchildren; two goddaughters, Sharon Malone and Cafolyn Webb; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

GREENVILLE - Funeral services for Doretha &#8220Tang” Watkins Taylor will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Hinds Street MB Church, Greenville. She died Dec. 9, 2006, at Triumph Rehabilitation Facility, Sugarland, Texas, after a long illness.

She was loved and cherished by her family: two daughters, Yvonne Rena Watkins (Bamidele) Odeseye and Lefaye Watkins Jackson of Katy, Texas; three sisters, Evon Washington of Pontiac, Mich., Annette (John) Winfield of Chicago, Ill., and Earnestine Wyatt of Katy, Texas; one brother, Nathaniel (Betty) Watkins Sr.; a special niece she raised, Virginia Early of Oak Forest, Ill.; a godbrother, Houston (Darnelle) Foster of Vicksburg; the other love her life, two granddaughters, Tarnesha Watkins of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Jassamine Jackson of Katy, Texas; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family hour will be Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home, Greenville. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

INDIANOLA - Funeral services for Rakeyvion Williams, 6 months, of Indianola will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Temple of Deliverance MB Church, Indianola. He died Dec. 7, 2006, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Survivors include his father, Lekevis Williams of Indianola; his mother, Stephanie Watson of Inverness; paternal grandparents, Bertha Williams and L.C. Williams

GREENVILLE - Funeral services for Rosa Nell Williams, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sparta Church in Sparta. She died Dec. 13, 2006, at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson. Interment will be in the Sparta Church Cemetery under the direction of Natchez Trace Funeral Home, Madison.

Mrs. Williams was born in Sparta, Miss., on December 3, 1923, to the late Silas and Eloise Latham. She was a resident of Greenville for 49 years and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Mrs. Williams was active in the Greenville community where she served as the past president of the Greenville Junior Women's Club, past District Governor of the Women's Clubs of the State of Mississippi, past treasurer of the Greenville Triad Club, and a past member of the Couterie Club. Mrs. Williams and her late husband, Robert F. Williams, were founding members of Washington School. Mrs. Williams moved to Madison in 1998 where she was a member of the Caboose Society.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Williams.

Survivors include her son, Robert &#8220Bob” C. Williams and daughter-in-law, Laurie R. Williams, of Madison; a brother, Herbie Latham and sister in-law, Jane Latham, of Grenada; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, Madison, with a reception for friends and family to follow at the home of Bob and Laurie Williams.

Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, Trinity Methodist Church of Greenville, Sparta Church or Washington School.

GREENVILLE - Funeral services for Walter Lee &#8220Man” Williams, 61, of Greenville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Solid Rock MB Church, Greenville. He died Dec. 8, 2006, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Pastor Alvester Brown will officiate.

Winston

INDIANOLA - Funeral services for Carlwell Winston, 55, of Chicago, Ill., and formerly of Indianola will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant MB Church, Indianola. He died Dec. 10, 2006, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Stephensville Cemetery, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Winston of Chicago; his father, Nathaniel Winston of Indianola; four sons, Timothy McCray of Indianola and Michael Story, Carl Winston and Clarence Winston, all of Lake Wales, Fla.; four daughters, Sherlonda Skelton of Phoenix, Ariz., Jackie Winston of Peoria, Ill., Vanesha Winston of Lake Wales, Fla., and TeCal Delaney of Oklahoma; five brothers, Joe Winston and Elie Winston, both of Indianola, Nathaniel Winston Jr. of Saginaw, Mich., and Jake Winston and Warnell Winston, both of Indianola; six sisters, Caroline McCaleb of Indianola, Dorothy Ross, Johnnie Winston and Estella Davis, all of Chicago, Betty Peterson of Phenix City, Ala., and Eddie Anderson of Chicago; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
