Hodding Carter Memorial YMCA
Folks are making a splash at the Hodding Carter Memorial YMCA, 1688 Fairground Road.
The Greenville Arts Council is gearing up for a jam-packed summer full of fun activities for local children to enjoy.
The GAC’s annual summer art camps, which are open to children ages 5-12, start next week and wrap up in July. The cost to participate is $100 per week for non GAC-members and $75 for GAC members.
Area residents are invited to participate in an upcoming film production starring actor Chris Mulkey being directed by a former local youth.

LELAND — The still waters of Deer Creek will soon be making waves when 100 ducks make a splash into their new home.
The duck launch, where the ducks will be corralled and guided into the water, is set for 3 p.m. June 16 at South Deer Creek Drive West and Sycamore Street in Leland.
For anyone looking to roll up their sleeves and lend a helping hand this summer, Camp Looking Glass needs more volunteers as they gear up for their 15th annual summer camp session in June.
The cast is set and rehearsals are underway for Delta Center Stage’s upcoming production, “Steel Magnolias.”
Set to perform May 9-12, production director Tim Bixler said the cast is working hard to bring back this familiar title to Jake and Freda Stein Hall in E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center.
