GPD investigates weekend homicide

Local authorities are searching for the person responsible for the shooting death of a man this weekend.

At about 9 p.m. Sunday night, officers with the Greenville Police Department received a call in reference to a shooting in the 400 block of Mississippi 1 S., according to assistant police chief Michael Merchant.

$5M bond handed to 3 men charged with murder

The three men charged with capital murder for the shooting death of Kenneth Mason have each been handed $5 million bonds this week.

Eighteen-year-old Donnell Corbin and 20-year-old Devonte Jones, both of Greenville, and 21-year-old Fredrick Pearson Jr., of Indianola, were handed a $5 million bond each Wednesday.

3 men in custody as suspects in shooting death of local man

Three men deemed as persons of interest have been taken into custody for the shooting death of one local man.

Several deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department were canvassing Tampa Drive through a traffic stop Monday afternoon as they were following leads on the death of 52-year-old Kenneth Mason.

GPD seeking public's help after man found dead Tuesday

Local police are seeking the public’s help to locate the person responsible for a man who was found dead Tuesday night.

At about 10 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the Greenville Police Department found a shot black male at the corner of Starling and Ninth streets.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Jenarius McNeal.
