The Greenville City Council has altered the garbage and trash pick-up schedule for the New Year’s Holiday.
Monday's route was picked up as usual.
The Tuesday and Wednesday garbage/trash route will be picked up Tuesday, Dec. 29, and the Thursday and Friday garbage/trash route will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
No trash will be picked up Thursday or Friday for the holiday.
There will be two garbage bins located at the rear entrance of the Public Works Compound on Reed Road and two garbage bins located at Harty Park for citizen use over the New Year Holiday weekend.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons said, “We want our residents to know that our sanitation department is working tirelessly given the abbreviated schedule to get all garbage cans dumped and trash picked up and we thank all citizens for being patient with us during this time. Happy Holidays!”
