A Feb. 19 letter to the Greenville Public School Board concerning scores and other issues has been reviewed by the Mississippi Department of Education and responded to by the GPSB.

A list of missing persons has been forwarded to the State Medical Office by the Washington County Sheriff Department after a body was found Sunday evening.

 

Parks and Recreation in Greenville is hosting a series of events aimed at offering something for every resident of Greenville, Corey Holmes, Parks and Recreation director, told the Greenville City Council at the June 4 meeting.







Body found near Hollandale

 

A list of missing persons has been forwarded to the State Medical Office by the Washington County Sheriff Department after a body was found Sunday evening.

According to the WCSD, a “badly decomposed body” was reported in the area of Pogue Road, east of Hollandale.








Metcalfe Yard Sale canceled

The Town of Metcalfe has canceled the June 8 Community Yard Sale due to weather.

The event will resume July 13 as scheduled.

The event offers a picnic on the creek, arts, crafts, food and more from noon until 6 p.m. at 315 MLK Drive, in front of Town Hall.
