Greenville police are still in pursuit of a wanted man who led police on a car chase throughout the city Wednesday afternoon.
In the 1970s, the Robertson Plumbing fastpitch softball team was a dynasty. Under coach Gene Angel, the Greenville team won four straight state championships between 1971 and 1975.
Three men have been arrested for a shooting that took place early this month that hospitalized two people.
Fall sports will not be returning this year for the Greenville Public School District.





Sculptor Beckwith to present work at Greenville Arts Council for a night

Famous for his sculpture work of public monuments and portrait busts, William “Bill” Beckwith is making his way back home to the Queen City for one night.

The Greenville Arts Council will host an evening with Beckwith, where he will present a slideshow of his work and discuss his journey of becoming a successful sculptor.




Amnesty period underway for those with outstanding warrants

The City of Greenville’s annual amnesty period is underway.

This means those with outstanding warrants due to misdemeanors, failure to report to work center, failure to pay citations and failure to appear in court have an opportunity to pay back fines and get warrants and other penalties voided.
