At a special called meeting Thursday, the Greenville Public School District board of trustees made the decision to table the resumption of fall sports and activities until its next regular board meeting.

The Mississippi High School Activities Association’s Executive Committee voted Tuesday to delay all fall sports two weeks.








Safety tips for surviving dangerously hot summer days

It’s the middle of summer, and the scorching outdoor temperatures are a sure reminder of that.

Over the weekend, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the region, including Washington County.

Although the heat advisory is over as of today, the temperatures outside are still dangerously hot.







Greenville City Council enters order requiring face coverings, effective immediately

Today, the Greenville City Council called a special call meeting to discuss the urgency in requiring masks and/or face coverings after a recent surge in COVID-19 cases. Washington County reached an increase of over 200 COVID-19 cases within fourteen days.
