HOLLANDALE — As festival season carries on, people in Hollandale are looking to keep the Delta blues merriment going with the annual Sam Chatmon Blues Festival.
If people look closely at the new federal courthouse in Greenville when it is completed, they won’t see a lantern on the levee. Instead, they’ll see a metaphor.
The Winterville Mounds Association (WMA) is having its fourth annual meeting at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Winterville Mounds Museum. Principal Chief Hutke Fields of the Notchie (Natchez) Nation will be the featured speaker.  
Crowned in Delta fashion, this year’s Hot Tamale King and Queen are none other than Jack Jackson and Betty Lynn Cameron.

All food establishments must have FOG  certification by year’s end


All local food establishments must be certified on how to properly dispose of oils, fats and grease by the end of the year. 

Based on the policy given by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Consent Decree, all food service establishments (FSE) will be required to have the certification by Dec. 31.
