Yvette McPherson’s name still hangs boldly on the wall of the Washington School gymnasium for a reason. Now the head girls basketball coach for the Lady Generals, McPherson was an All-State player in high school when she graduated in 1989.
“Be great, you are the future.” These words sound nothing short of inspiring and as though they were taken straight from the pages of some profound author.
Enthusiastic performers are invited to soon head to Delta Center Stage for the auditions of their next musical production, “Little Shop of Horrors.”




James Ceranti hosting Chrysler Cars 4 Classrooms fundraiser for area elementary schools

Local residents will have an opportunity to test drive a vehicle to support a local elementary school.

James Ceranti Chrysler will be hosting their Chrysler Cars 4 Classrooms fundraiser for Sanders Elementary in Hollandale, Lakeside Elementary in Lake Village, Arkansas, and Weddington Elementary in Greenville.




Veterans Stand Down, Veterans Day Parade approaching, help needed

The 2019 Delta Veterans Stand Down is only a few days away, and organizers are seeking volunteers to assist at the event.

Gulf Coast Veterans Advocacy Council co-chairman Kenny Magee said while financial donations are welcomed and highly appreciated, they need food and volunteers to assist the veterans.
