Delta Cotton Belles is a totally volunteer organization whose mission is to educate women about breast health awareness, provide free screening and mammograms, as well as assistance for women with breast cancer. Since Delta Cotton Belles was founded 14 years ago, we have provided over 800 free mammograms to working uninsured or underinsured women throughout 11 counties of the Mississippi and Arkansas Delta.
The month of October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Delta Cotton Belles is encouraging businesses, organizations, and schools to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness on Friday, Oct. 22. We call this “Our Friends Wear Pink.”
The idea is simple: have your employees, volunteers, or students wear pink and take a picture that will be featured on the Delta Cotton Belles website (deltacottonbelles.org), Facebook page, Instagram, and other marketing materials. Email pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in participating, please see the attached registration form. Someone will also deliver a poster that you can place in the window of your business or school that shows you support Delta Cotton Belles.
We are looking forward to seeing your finest shades of pink on Oct. 22. If Oct. 22 does not work for your business or school, just pick another date in October and send us your pictures!
