The team of Allen Powell and Brad McCulley won their second straight Mississippi River Anglers Association bass fishing tournament on Saturday at Log Loader Lake in Bolivar County. Powell and McCulley caught a four-bass limit of 17.91 lbs.
On a stormy rainy Saturday for fishing, the anglers did not blast off until 8 a.m. because of the weather.
Out of 26 boats fishing, only 14 boats brought in 4-bass limit.
Second place in the tournament went to the team of Rob Livingston and his dad Ronnie Livingston. Their 4-bass limit weighed 15.31 lbs. Third place went to the team of Brandon Williams and JP Armstrong whose 4-bass limit weighed 14.44 lb.
Big bass of the tournament went to the team of Clifton Ray and Parker Frew. Their big bass weighed 5.87 lb. and earned them $500.00.
The next MRAA 2021 Summer Trail Tournament will be on August at Lake Ferguson, launching from the City Front Ramp.
