James Ceranti hosting Chrysler Cars 4 Classrooms fundraiser for area elementary schools

Local residents will have an opportunity to test drive a vehicle to support a local elementary school.

James Ceranti Chrysler will be hosting their Chrysler Cars 4 Classrooms fundraiser for Sanders Elementary in Hollandale, Lakeside Elementary in Lake Village, Arkansas, and Weddington Elementary in Greenville.

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Lee Lloyd Jackson, 76, of Greenville, are pending with Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at Delta Regional Medical Center.

Local musician Pratt has new album cover thanks to friend’s gift

Greenville blues musician Kern Pratt received a special surprise from another local artist Saturday night while playing a gig at the South Main Market & Deli.

Local artist Sean Burnley presented Pratt with an original acrylic painting that Pratt will use for the cover of his next album, “Greenville, Mississippi, What About You?”


WLSD preps students, staff for crisis with active shooter drills

Communities and schools can never take enough precautions, especially when a crisis strikes.

Western Line School District hosted an active shooter drill Tuesday morning at Riverside Elementary and Riverside High schools and again in the afternoon at O’Bannon Elementary and O’Bannon High schools.
