MADISON — Funeral services for Spencer Cole Noble, 32, of Madison, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, Madison. He passed away in his sleep Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenville Cemetery.


10-year-old Jonathan Bates begins racing career at Gumbo Nationals

Ten-year-old Jonathan Bates Jr. has a fearless personality just like his father and grandfather. It is why he has a love of racing cars and why he is not afraid to keep racing against better competition.

Bates started racing go karts a few years ago, but he has done so well that he is already moved up to race against grown adults.

GREENVILLE — Anne H. Causey, 93, of Greenville, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019,  at Baptist Hospital, Southaven. Private services will be held at a later date.

She was a retired clerk at Super Stop on Main in Greenville.

Delta Tailgating Festival returning for a fourth year

The Washington County Alumni Association for Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) is getting in gear to host the fourth annual Delta Tailgating Festival.

The free event, which will feature live music and vendors, is set to run from 3-10 p.m. Oct. 12 in Stein Mart Square in downtown Greenville.

The bride-elect, Lakwanya Titus, is the daughter of Ruth Starkey and granddaughter of the late Gertrude W. Titus and the late Erma Dotson Sanders.
