Final results from Washington County presidential primaries

According to final official reports from the Washington County Circuit Clerk office, 6,521, or 20.43%, of the county’s 31,913 registered voters cast their ballots Tuesday for the United States presidential primaries.

The general election, which will be the 59th quadrennial presidential election, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Amidst the banning of gatherings of 10 or more people in the City of Greenville, restaurants are facing a crisis that may determine their future viability.

Sid Guest, co-owner of Stamson’s, and Allison Nimrod, owner of Sherman’s, have adjusted their business plans to cope with the current environment.

Azar seeking local talent for ‘The Banality’ film

Area residents are invited to participate in an upcoming film production starring actor Chris Mulkey being directed by a former local youth.

Strack Azar, son of local country star musician Steve Azar, and Michael Stevantoni have written and are co-directing an original feature film titled, “The Banality.”

Pro wrestling coming back to Greenville on February 1

As a young boy, Isaac Morris, spent many weekends on road trips to different towns throughout the region. His father, Isaac Morris Sr., was a professional wrestler. Young Morris got an up close view of the wrestling industry, from drop kicks and body slams to selling tickets and putting up and taking down the ring.

CLEVELAND — Funeral services for Cobie A. Miller, 34, of Cleveland, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Poplar Grove, Boyle. He died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, in Mountain City, Tennessee. Burial will be at Poplar Grove, Boyle, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.
