Safety tips for surviving dangerously hot summer days

It’s the middle of summer, and the scorching outdoor temperatures are a sure reminder of that.

Over the weekend, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the region, including Washington County.

Although the heat advisory is over as of today, the temperatures outside are still dangerously hot.


As virus cases rise, DRMC doctor says wear a mask

Washington County has been grouped with 23 other counties as a hotspot for COVID-19 cases in the state.

The residents of those counties have been ordered to wear masks when in the public and restrict gatherings.

Of the 1,261 cases in Washington County, no less than 150 have been hospitalized and 25 have died.

Greenville mayor rescinds church citations; ordinance remains intact

Parishioners ticketed for holding a drive-in service April 8 at  Temple Baptist Church will not have to pay the $500 fine issued in violation of Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons’ executive order restricting indoor and drive-in church gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
