GREENVILLE — Louis Eddly Taylor, 85, of Greenville, died Friday, June 26, 2020, at Delta Regional Medical Center.
Louis was born April 9, 1935, the son of Curtis Levon Taylor and Elsie Eudale Wells. He retired from the United States Air Force as Mechanic.
LELAND — Graveside services for Kentarius D. “Pie-Joe” Lewis, 23, of Leland, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Sisters of Charity Cemetery, Elizabeth. He died Sunday, June 28, 2020, in Leland. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday, July 3, at T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland.
There are some men and women whose names should be on monuments, buildings or roads. These are people who should be remembered throughout time. There are also people who should not, now or ever, have a monument to their memory, but they should also be remembered through time.

CARY — Graveside services for Patricia R. Thomas, 66, of Cary, will be at noon Saturday, June 27, at Cary Community Cemetery, Cary, with Apostle Linda Sweezer officiating. She died Thursday, June 18, 2020, in Coldwater. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 680 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 14 new deaths as a result of the virus in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.
The state’s total number of coronavirus cases is 27,067 and there have been 1,056 deaths in total.
