JACKSON — On Aug. 3, Greenville Renaissance Scholars of Greenville has been awarded a $4,300 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission. This grant is a portion of the $1.3 million in grants the Commission will award in 2020-2021 and will be used to host Camp Renaissance 2021.

GREENVILLE — Mavis Johnson, 54, of Greenville, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Visitation will be from 2-3:15 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
Hollandale native Marcus Lloyd, 48, was killed Friday afternoon as a result of what appeared to be an accident involving county road equipment on Frazier Road near Kennedy Flat Road.
Details surrounding the incident are still being gathered, per the Washington County Sheriff’s Department who is in charge of the investigation.
LELAND — Services for Roger Clinton Adams, 59, of Leland, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Glendale Baptist Church. He died Friday, July 17, 2020, at his residence. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
He was born Aug. 19, 1960, in Indiana.
INDIANOLA — Graveside services for Delois Collins-Williams, 65, of Indianola, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Riverside Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Annie Hill officiating. She died Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Services are under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Delta Regional Medical Center has established a COVID-19 Results Line for anyone who has been tested at a DRMC location. The hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and the number is 662-379-0434.
DRMC is also holding free COVID-19 testing in the hospital's ER parking lot. Testing is performed from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
