INDIANOLA — Graveside services for Maple Wright, 81, of Indianola, were held Wednesday, July 8, at Indianola City Cemetery. She died June 28, 2020, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Services were under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

LELAND — The Leland Department is seeking the public’s help to find and arrest 27-year-old Indianola resident Latarius Howard.
Leland Police Department Assistant Police Chief Marcus Davis said Howard has outstanding warrants for possession of a controlled substance and weapon possession by a felon.
A teenager has been arrested and charged for a shooting this week that injured a man at a local store.
Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant said 18-year-old Romeo Hurt, of Greenville, was identified as the suspect who shot into a store in the 900 block of St. Charles Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
