Senior archers taking life skills with them despite no last shots

Gavin Wells and Leanna Boozer are two Washington School archers who never got a chance to shoot for a championship this season.

Despite this disappointment, they both say they are thankful for the four years they each spent on the General archery team, and they will take the lessons they learned with them for the rest of their lives.

DRMC receives grant from UWWC

United Way of Washington County (UWWC) is pleased to announce it received a $2,600 grant from Truist Financial Corporation to provide food and medical services in Washington County.  Delta Regional Medical Center was awarded a portion of the grant by the United Way of Washington County to be used for COVID-19 medical needs.

LELAND — As a senior, Camariyah (C.C.) Butler was the unquestioned leader of the Leland High School girls basketball team last season.

And, while school is now over because of the coronavirus crisis, Camariyah is still exhibiting strong leadership to both her teammates and her younger brothers and sisters.
