Concerned residents on agenda to address BOS at Tuesday meeting

Concerned residents of Washington County are planning to be present at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting to discuss some recent appointments made at the first meeting of year.  

For those who would like to speak, concerned residents have been added to the agenda to address the board at 9:30 a.m.

Legendary Kattawar Brothers a week away from concert at Bass

Cutting a rug for a good cause is exactly what the Greenville Arts Council is giving folks an opportunity to do next weekend.

The Legendary Kattawar Brothers will be performing live in concert from 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at E.E. Bass Auditorium with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for James Miller, 36, of Greenville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at New Day Harvest, with Pastor D’Andre Hill officiating. He died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.

GREENVILLE — Graveside services for George Richard Hamlin, 90, of Greenville, were at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He passed away peacefully at his home Friday, Dec. 27, 2019. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
