Washington County resident and Washington School graduate Jackson Saulter, 19, died after a tree fell on his home as a result of severe storm winds that pushed through the region late Wednesday night.
Washington County Sheriff Department Assistant Chief Deputy Percy Miles said they received the call at approximately 11 p.m.
In the Washington County Primaries, there were no upsets of sitting elected officials. Incumbent, and unopposed Circuit Clerk Barbara Esters-Parker garnered the highest vote total of 5,066. The largest margin in a contested race went to Sheriff Milton Gaston at 4,488 votes or 83.42%.
