Greenville City Council Member Bill Boykin, who suffered a stroke in March, has presented the Greenville City Council with a letter announcing his intention to resign his position.
Ward 3 has not had representation on the council as Boykin has been unable to attend meetings since the stroke.
Delta Regional Medical Center has established a COVID-19 Results Line for anyone who has been tested at a DRMC location. The hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and the number is 662-379-0434.
DRMC is also holding free COVID-19 testing in the hospital's ER parking lot. Testing is performed from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

On Monday, the Washington County Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 1 to work with the Greenville Historic Preservation committee in the relocation of the Confederate statue on the Washington County Courthouse grounds to another county site at the expense of the county.
