GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Darrell “Drew” Rexrode, 21, of Greenville, were at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. He went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Several bridges and two roads are currently or will soon be temporarily closed for emergency purposes at the recommendation of the Mississippi Department of Transportation’s Office of State Aid Road Construction.
The two county roads being posted as closed are Dyson and Dogleg roads.
GPD seeking person who shot 12-year-old girl in home

Greenville Police Chief Delando Wilson said at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 400 block of North Eighth Street in reference to shots fired in the area.

Honeybees finish regular season 27-0
The Honeybees have completed a perfect regular season.
After a 51-47 hard-fought road victory over Holmes County Central on Tuesday, the Greenville High School girls basketball team is now 27-0.
It is the first time a Greenville High School basketball team has ever had an undefeated regular season.

Teen arrested for shooting that injured man in store
By CATHERINE KIRK CKIRK@DDTONLINE.COM,A teenager has been arrested and charged for a shooting this week that injured a man at a local store.
Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant said 18-year-old Romeo Hurt, of Greenville, was identified as the suspect who shot into a store in the 900 block of St. Charles Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Incumbents held on to each of their seats except in the District 4 supervisor vote won by Mala Brooks by a mere 13 votes over incumbent Jesse Amos. The more than 700 absentee ballots have yet to be counted in any races as of press time.
Of the 32,026 registered voters in Washington County, 11001 cast ballots in the Tuesday election.
