Our students need great teachers, we should try to keep them

I have the utmost respect for educators as it is a career I never want to be in. Teachers, without a doubt, don’t get the credit they deserve. Not only do they sit with a class full of children who come from various backgrounds to teach them the same lessons, they also deal with the constant pressures of district and state testing.

St. Joseph runs away from Claiborne in South State Quaterfinals

St. Joseph Fighting Irish head coach James Hunter knew that Thursday night’s 68-51 win over Claiborne County in the quarterfinals of the South State Tournament was bittersweet. His starters played so well in the first half that from the opening play of the second half, officials invoked mercy rule and allowed the clock to run uninterrupted.





Stoneville hosting 43rd annual African American History Program on Friday
