ARCOLA — Ethan Allegrezza and Noah Allegrezza are two fraternal twins who will each play an integral part in the success of the Deer Creek School football team this season.

Ethan is projected to be the team’s starting quarterback, while Noah will be the main ball carrier for the Warriors.

LELAND — Graveside services for Deloris Trotter Jackson, 85, of Leland, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville. She departed this life July 28, 2020, at her home, surrounding by family. Arrangements are under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Leland.

BOS set fine for those caught not wearing masks in county

A $250 fine for failure to wear a mask or a nose and mouth covering will soon be signed into order, per the Washington County Board of Supervisors.

The order was decided by a vote of 3-2 with BOS president Carl McGee and vice president Lee Gordon voting opposed in the motion made by District 4 Supervisor Mala Brooks.
