JACKSON — Today, Governor Tate Reeves signed a new executive order establishing a statewide shelter-in-place for Mississippi to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of all who call our state home.

Several care facilities, establishments and other entities across Washington County are hunkering down in accordance with the federal and state governments’ declarations in light of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
According to unofficial reports from the Washington County Circuit Clerk office, 6,394 of the county’s 31,913 registered voters cast their ballots Tuesday for the United States presidential primaries.
