In perhaps the Delta’s most hotly contested non district rivalry, the Gentry High School Rams boys swept the Greenville High Hornets 59-42 in the Highway 82 series. Hornets fans had reason to hope from the opening tip as senior guard Morgan Green secured a wayward ball and made an uncontested layup for the first basket of the game.

Williette Kingdom is still going through the grieving process.
Kingdom, a senior on the Greenville Christian School basketball team, has lost four relatives in the last two months, including her 20-year-old sister Salyssia Brown.
