GSPD employee tests positive for COVID-19; Em Boyd closed

On Tuesday, the Greenville Public School District (GPSD) announced an Em Boyd Elementary School employee tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In light of this information, Em Boyd, 1021 S. Colorado St., will close immediately.

Superintendent Dr. Debra Dace said the district shares its concerns about coronavirus.

BELZONI — Graveside services for Curtis Lee Hughes, 61, of Belzoni, will be at noon Saturday, June 13, at Outlaw Cemetery, Silver City, with the Rev. Percy Puckett officiating. He died Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Byas Funeral Home, Belzoni.
