The 1965 high school football season was my first year working as a referee rather than a head linemen or a field judge. The officials all met in a meeting room at the high school in Indianola on a hot August afternoon.
On Tuesday, the Greenville Public School District (GPSD) announced an Em Boyd Elementary School employee tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In light of this information, Em Boyd, 1021 S. Colorado St., will close immediately.
Superintendent Dr. Debra Dace said the district shares its concerns about coronavirus.

At 9:10 a.m. Friday, officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Dent Street in reference to a shot person.
