Dr. Ed Egger and Dr. Bill Schaffarzick have been friends for decades and they have a lot of similarities.
They are the quintessential baby boomers. They are both in the medical profession. Egger is an ophthalmologist and Schaffarzick is a dentist.
They like to hunt and fish. Both can tell a good hunting story.
Greenville resident Michael A. Kelly has spent a good part of the last 40 years taking pictures of Delta wildlife. Kelly floats down the Mississippi River and other local tributaries in his small paddle boat for many of his pictures.

LELAND — Two Greenwood residents were arrested earlier this week for trying to breaking into a Leland storage center.
Monday afternoon, Washington County Sheriff Deputy Adam Auger spotted suspicious activity at 82 Mini Storage and notified the Leland Police Department.

Quality assurance of the 2019 elections is on the minds of Washington County Board of Supervisors and the Election Commission, who have contracted for services to review any errors that may be lurking in the system and address specific concerns.
A 64 year-old black male was shot Saturday night in the 400th block of Sunflower Street, near Doe’s Eat Place, Greenville. Just before 11 p.m. the Greenville Police Department responded to a call in reference to a shot person, whose name is being held pending family notification.
