HOLLANDALE — Funeral services for Dorothy Young, 72, of Hollandale, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Oaklawn Cemetery. She died July 6, 2020. Services are under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
An employee of the Washington County Justice Court has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
Therefore, offices of the Washington County Justice Court will be closed until further notice.

At 6:21 a.m. this morning, police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Theobald Street, where they found a 20-year-old black male with blood on his face.
A local woman died late Wednesday night after a hit-and-run on Nelson Street.
Assistant Police Chief Michael Merchant said officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of Nelson Street close to midnight, where they found a black female lying in the road.
