PACC assists local youth groups in helping others

Two local youth groups kicked off their Thanksgiving break by giving a noble gesture of their own — their time and service.

Sponsored by the Progressive Art and Civic Club (PACC) Youth Affiliates, the Esquires and Teenettes spent their Monday morning volunteering at Port City Personal Care and Respite Services.




Several county bridges, roads to stay closed until necessary repairs are made

Several bridges and two roads are currently or will soon be temporarily closed for emergency purposes at the recommendation of the Mississippi Department of Transportation’s Office of State Aid Road Construction.

The two county roads being posted as closed are Dyson and Dogleg roads.
