MADISON — Greenville resident Brother Sandifer had small expectations when he teed it up on the first hole July 17 at the Senior Trustmark Invitational Open at the Reunion Golf Course in Madison, but he stepped off the green on the 18th hole a day later and accepted the championship trophy.

Local police say the man who was found dead inside a manhole earlier this month appears to be an accidental death.
One man is dead after breaking into a home early this morning and shooting at the three people inside, including a minor.
