GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Elvridge Hollins Jr., 73, of Greenville, are pending with Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at his home. There will be a private burial under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
In the beginning of the season, Greenville High School boys basketball coach Delmar Sprouse said his team had the personality of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Sprouse’s Hornets would play great team ball one game, and then appear like a completely different team a game later.
Camariyah (C.C.) Butler is the unquestioned leader of the Leland Lady Cubs this season.
Butler, a 5-foot-3 guard who has been starting for Leland since the eighth grade, leads mostly by example, both on and off the court.

Robbie Walker-Grossley, 49,was murdered by her husband, Christopher Grossley, 54. After shooting his wife, Christopher Grossley ended his life through suicide.

Investigation points toward domestic violence in murder, suicide
Domestic violince appears to be the motive of a husband, 54, shooting his wife, 49, and then turning the gun on himself, according to the Greenville Police Department.
A 64 year-old black male was shot Saturday night in the 400th block of Sunflower Street, near Doe’s Eat Place, Greenville. Just before 11 p.m. the Greenville Police Department responded to a call in reference to a shot person, whose name is being held pending family notification.
A three-vehicle wreck at one of Greenville’s busiest intersections sent six people, including four children, to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
