Lazericka Louis still training hard for a bright track future in college

Greenville High School’s Lazericka Louis will not have a chance to compete for a state track championship this spring, but she is still running hard each day in preparation for her future.

Lazericka signed a track scholarship to attend Hinds Community College last fall. Her specialty is the 400 meter run and the 200 meter run.

The phone rang at the mayor’s office earlier this week and the voice on the line said, “We’re having church on Wednesday, no matter what.”

The caller, according to Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons, claimed to be the pastor of Temple Baptist Church on Reed Road in Greenville.
