Now open:  Spectators welcomes visitors to enjoy new outdoor patio

Like all restaurants and bars throughout the region, Spectators Pub and Eatery went through lean times once the coronavirus pandemic hit. But, the establishment, located at 139 S. Walnut St., recently opened with many new improvements.

LELAND — Graveside services for Kenny Otho Horton, 82, a long-time resident of Leland, were held Saturday, May 23, at  Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. He died Thursday, May 21, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.

Skyler will graduate from St. Joseph Catholic School this spring. Her story is one of resilience and keeping the faith that has given inspiration to both her classmates and teachers.

Local teen charged in uncle’s stabbing death

A Greenville teenager is behind bars for the stabbing death of his uncle.

At 1:13 p.m. Monday, July 15, officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Belfast Street. Inside the home, officers found the body of a 37-year-old black male, who has been identified as Jermaine Sanders.
