Dr. Ed Egger and Dr. Bill Schaffarzick have been friends for decades and they have a lot of similarities.
They are the quintessential baby boomers. They are both in the medical profession. Egger is an ophthalmologist and Schaffarzick is a dentist.
They like to hunt and fish. Both can tell a good hunting story.
Greenville resident Michael A. Kelly has spent a good part of the last 40 years taking pictures of Delta wildlife. Kelly floats down the Mississippi River and other local tributaries in his small paddle boat for many of his pictures.
The results of Greenville’s City Election held on Monday are in, and there were not upsets as a result.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons ran uncontested, yielding him an automatic victory.
Greenville’s Wastewater Treatment Plant has been discharging minimally-treated wastewater into the river, which was officially reported last month by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), due to operational issues at the plant.

Domestic violence is the motive behind the loss of two lives Tuesday, according the Greenville Police Department investigators.
Robbie Walker-Grossley, 49,was murdered by her husband, Christopher Grossley, 54. After shooting his wife, Christopher Grossley ended his life through suicide.
Emmanuel Baptist Church is hosting their 2nd annual “The Living Supper” Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m.

Investigation points toward domestic violence in murder, suicide
Domestic violince appears to be the motive of a husband, 54, shooting his wife, 49, and then turning the gun on himself, according to the Greenville Police Department.
