Stemarion Edwards ready for challege of leading Simmons football team

HOLLANDALE — At Simmons High School, the standard is high. And, Stemarion Edwards would not have it any other way.

Despite losing nine starters on offense and nine starters on defense last season, the Blue Devils still expect to compete at the state’s highest level when their season begins on Aug. 23 against Amanda Elzy.

Azar seeking local talent for ‘The Banality’ film

Area residents are invited to participate in an upcoming film production starring actor Chris Mulkey being directed by a former local youth.

Strack Azar, son of local country star musician Steve Azar, and Michael Stevantoni have written and are co-directing an original feature film titled, “The Banality.”
