LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The Arkansas House on Monday approved a proposal to ban abortion 18 weeks into a woman's pregnancy, moving the state closer toward enacting what could be the strictest prohibition in the country.

Greenville – Funeral services for David Delane McGarrh, 61, are 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Chesterville Baptist Church, Tupelo. He died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice, Tupelo.
In the Washington County Primaries, there were no upsets of sitting elected officials. Incumbent, and unopposed Circuit Clerk Barbara Esters-Parker garnered the highest vote total of 5,066. The largest margin in a contested race went to Sheriff Milton Gaston at 4,488 votes or 83.42%.
