Jeanne Anderson, one of the best players to ever wear a Honeybee uniform had her career come to an end Friday night when the Greenville High School girls basketball team fell 58-54 to South Panola in the consolation game of the MHSAA Region 3-6A Tournament at Starkville.

Mid-Delta Regional Airport extending inspection with professional services

Mid-Delta Regional Airport will once again use Michael Baker International for its upcoming supplemental airport inspection.

The Greenville City Council approved Mid-Delta Regional Airport director Sam Washington’s request to extend the professional services at their Tuesday meeting. 


Hornets surge back to defeat Germantown in semifinals of district tournament

STARKVILLE — The Greenville High School boys basketball team may have let the lead slip away Tuesday night, but the Hornets never lost their composure as they roared back in the fourth quarter to defeat Germantown 71-58 in the semifinals of the MHSAA Region 3-6A Tournament at Starkville.

Kings of the South: St. Joseph runs past opposition to clam South State Title

For the second straight season, the St. Joseph Catholic School boys basketball team captured a regional state championship. Now, the Fighting Irish have their sites set on winning it all.

The Fighting Irish (17-4) defeated Discovery Christian 65-41 Saturday in the championship game of the MAIS Class 2A South State Tournament.
