MOORHEAD — Funeral services for Alberta Robertson, 68, of Moorhead, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Swan Lake MB Church, Moorhead. She died Monday, Jan. 6, 2020. Burial will be at Swan Lake MB Church Cemetery, Moorhead, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
Concerned residents of Washington County are planning to be present at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting to discuss some recent appointments made at the first meeting of year.
For those who would like to speak, concerned residents have been added to the agenda to address the board at 9:30 a.m.
All of the city’s community recycling bins will soon be rid of due to grant funds for the bins being exhausted.
Kathy Avis of OmniSource/Steel Dynamics Inc., said she anticipates the city’s four bins will be completely removed by Thursday at the latest.
In observance of the Christmas holiday, trash pick up schedules and city hall hours of operation will be affected in Washington County towns and municipalities.
Greenville City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, and Wednesday, Christmas Day.
City Hall will resume its regular hours Thursday.
The home of Hollandale resident Carolyn Gaines and her belongings were completely lost to a fire two days before Christmas.
The woman, who lived in the house with her son, had recently made some renovations to the home before the fire erupted Monday evening.
The Greenville City front is on the schedule for 48 riverboat stops this year.
Since the boats started arriving for a generally single-day stay since 2015, the number of stops has steadily increased.
