Roderick Malone
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Graveside services for Roderick Anthony Malone, 53, of Memphis, Tennessee, and formerly of Greenville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola. He died Oct. 22, 2020, at Baptist Hospital, Southaven. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville.
He attended Greenville High School. He worked as a chef for many years all over the Delta and even opened a restaurant of his own.
Roderick was a loving and kind person who had a passion for cooking and football.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Bell (John) Ezell; his father, Mozel Malone Sr.; and one brother, Derrick Malone.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Jordan Malone, of Memphis; four daughters, Kanesha Shields, of Jackson, Makenzie Jordan, of Memphis, Marketta Walker, of Atlanta, and Shaquilla Cole, of Memphis; three sons, Courtney Jordan, of Memphis, Roderick Malone Jr., of Memphis, and Tommy Watson, of Greenville; one sister, Sharon (Dwayne) Sankey, of Olive Branch; two brothers, Mozell Malone Jr., of Greenville, and Kevin Malone, of Isola; one uncle, Bennie Scott, of Greenville; one aunt, Barbara Malone, of Greenville; one godsister, Cristal Johnson Gates, of Memphis; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
