Greenville – Funeral services for David Delane McGarrh, 61, are 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Chesterville Baptist Church, Tupelo. He died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice, Tupelo.
He was born and raised in Greenville, the son of Eston Harold and Louie Nell (Estes) McGarrh Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin brother, Howard Dewayne McGarrh.
He leaves his twin daughters, Megan Kaye McGarrh of Memphis, Tennessee, and Lindsey Marie McGarrh of Collierville, Tennessee; one brother, Eston Harold McGarrh, Jr., of Greenville; and three sisters, Rose Marie McCain of Tupelo, Ruchell Phillips of Oxford, and Deborah Walls of Slidell, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Ashton and Connor of Collierville, Tennessee.
After graduating from Winona Academy, Winona, MS, in May 1976, he worked for Hardees Management Program in Meridian.
He then moved back to Greenville and worked as a master carpenter for his brother at The McGarrh Agency for more than 35 years. He later retired and moved to Tupelo.
He loved all Mississippi State sports, bowling and his time he spent with Ministry Celebration Recovery at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a member. However, most of all he loved his family and friends.
