GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Deloris R. Strong, 63, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Pilgrim Rest MB Church, Greenville, with Dr. Albert Mark Hines, pastor, officiating. She died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be at Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Annette and Henry Harris; her father, James Ware; grandmother, Beatrice Stovall; son, Antonio Richardson; and grandson, Antonio Richardson Jr.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, L.C. Strong, of Greenville; a daughter, Tarsha Richardson, of Robinsonville; seven sisters, Marketa Payne, of Birmingham, Alabama, Lurann Thomas (Terry) Kingdom, Sandra (Robert) Lee and Julia Smith, all of Greenville, Victoria Agnew and Lisa Magnum, both of Memphis, Tennessee, and Eula Walker, of Bartlett, Tennessee; four brothers, the Rev. Levi (Joyce) Washington, of Jacksonville, Florida, Walter Washington, of Greenville, and Torence Golden, of San Diego, California, and Joe (Zsa-Zsa) Richardson, of Memphis; father-in-law, L.C. Strong, of Chicago; mother-in-law and father, Marcella (Sylvester) Jackson, of Leland; six aunts, Frankie Griffin and Sadie Voss, both of Greenville, Earnestine Horton, Bernadine Clark, Elizabeth Ware and Linda Smith, all of Memphis, Earnestine Jackson, of Chicago; a great-aunt, Lucille Warren, of Texas City, Texas; four uncles, Ralph (Doris) Stovall, of Texas, Ruben (Dorothy), Freddie (Glenda) and Leon (Ida) Ware, all of Memphis; and seven grandchildren, Nyah, Aiyauna, Amberial, Jalyn, Eavious and Alexus; three special friends, Pricella Berry, Demetrius Harris and Ethel Maiden, all of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
