Edietha Franklin Carroll
HACKENSACK, N.J. — Graveside services for Edietha “Edie” Franklin Carroll, 67, of Hackensack, New Jersey, and formerly of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville. She died Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Hackensack Medical Center, Hackensack, New Jersey. Services are under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
Edie was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Bertha Mae Franklin; two sisters, Geneva Peyton, of Clovis, New Mexico, and Flora Cooper, of Greenville. Edie worked in the medical field for over 40 years taking care of patients. She loved her family and will be truly missed.
Edie is survived by her only daughter, Ursula Yvette McCormick, of Silver Spring, Maryland; and one grandson, Anthony (A.J.). She also leaves to cherish her memories 10 siblings, Nathaniel (Nate) Franklin, of West Memphis, Arkansas; Joshua (Sunny) Ford, of Clovis, New Mexico; Akilah (Peach) Rezzaq, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Thelma Williams, of Greenville; Mamie Fox (Raymond), of Clovis, New Mexico; Robert (Wanda) Franklin, of Mobile, Alabama; Charles Franklin, of Greenville; Eddie Ray Franklin, of Clovis, New Mexico; Derrick (Sharron) Franklin, of Desoto, Texas; Mary (Ann) Chillous, of Greenville; two aunts, Lonnie (Johnnie Mae) Ford, of Greenville, and Emma Lee (Pudding) Ford, of Hopedale; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The family is very grateful to the “Outstanding” doctors, nurses, and staff at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey, for providing professional care for Edie.
