LAKE VILLAGE, Ark. — Graveside services for Eva Dean McPhail Norris, 92, of Lake Village, Arkansas, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, with the Rev. David Powers officiating. She passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service, Lake Village.
Dean worked as secretary of Greenville High School for many years before retiring.
She was born in Kosciusko on Jan. 3, 1928, to the late Robert Spurgeon McPhail and Lois Rogers McPhail. Dean enjoyed cooking, working crossword puzzles and painting. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dean was a very active member at Chicot Baptist Church for as long as her health permitted.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Buddy” Norris; sisters, Inez Jamison and Bobbie Growthman; and her brother, Spurgeon McPhail.
Survivors include her son, Tommy (Betty) Norris, of Lake Village; daughters, Sally (Hank) Polson, of Lake Village, and Beth (Johnny) Watford, of Morton; grandchildren, Leland Norris, Allen Norris, Clay Polson, Marshall Polson, Emily Withers, Caitlin Bradley and Neely Watford; great-grandchildren, Lucy Polson, Josh Polson, Knox Polson, Ruby Polson, Dean Owen Norris, Gray Withers and Wren Withers.
