KANKAKEE, IL — Jacqueline Bradford-Wise, 61, of Kankakee, Illinois, died Aug. 18, 2020, at Amita Health St. Mary’s Hospital, Kankakee. A private memorial service will be held Aug. 14 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Greenville. Cremation rites have been accorded. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the memorial service was delayed.
Jacqueline was a former resident of Greenville before moving to Kankakee, IL in 2015 because of health reasons.
Jacqueline was born April 5, 1959, in Greenville, the daughter of Issac Bradford and Laverne French. She was a former special education teacher at Lucy Webb Elementary School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Alcorn State University in 1981.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father; sister, Bettye McDonald; brother-in-law, Albert McDonald; and sister, Brenda Bradford-Johnson.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Bradford and Lori Phillips, of Kankakee, IL, Gregory Wise Jr., of Houston, Texas, and Tevin Carter, of Greenville; brothers, Jeffery and Andrea Bradford, of Junction City, Kan., Michael and Carolyn Bradford of Greenville; sister, Carolyn Bradford, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Quentin and Nikia Bradford, a nephew she raised as her son, of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren, Devin Bradford, Jasmine Bradford and Kyle Malone, all of Kankakee, IL; and great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Khyelle and Khyla Malone, of Kankakee, IL.
