MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Graveside services for James “Tut Tut” Clark, 77, of Memphis, Tennessee, and formerly of Greenville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, with Pastor George King officiating. He died Friday, July 10, 2020, in Memphis, at home with his sister, Norma, who loved and cared for him. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
James “Tut Tut” Clark was born to the late Alex Clark and Daisy Crittenden Clark on July 28, 1942, in Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Alberta Clark Sims; and brothers, Ruben Clark, Henry Clark, Alex Clark, Roosevelt Clark, Robert Clark, J.W. Clark and Bobby Crittenden.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Janice (Andrew) Collier, of Waterloo, Iowa, Akai Lewis and Jordan (Kerlandes) Watson, all of Houston, Texas; six sons, Darol (Amanda) Lewis, of Houston, Texas, William Smith, of Marion, Iowa, Gregory Smith, of Des Moines, Iowa, Donald and Darnell Smith, of Waterloo, and Robert Luster, of Greenville; three sisters, Frances Clark Shedd, of St. Louis, Illinois, Norma Clark, of Memphis, Tennessee, and Mildred Clark Escalante, of Metcalfe; two brothers, Leroy Clark, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles Crittenden, of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
