GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Louise Martin Harris, 54, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Greenville High School, 419 E. Robertshaw St., Grenville, with Bro. Bruce Smith, of Houston, Texas, officiating. She transitioned Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Louise was born Jan. 19, 1965, to the loving parents of T.C. and Shirley Martin. She was educated in the Greenville Public School system, where she graduated in 1983. She was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness Jan. 23, 1993, in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kendrick Kentrell Martin.
Louise married the love of her life, Larry Harris, on Nov. 30, 1991. Together, they had one daughter, Alexis Harris, of Greenville. She shared her life with eight other siblings, five girls and three boys, Tommie (Janice) Martin, Felita (Derrick) Jackson, Valarie (Donnie) Douglas, Margaret Martin, Jammie (Melody) Martin, Byron (Porsha) Martin, LaTonya (Cedric) Lewis, and Tameika Martin, all of Greenville; two stepchildren, Larry Avery, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Shannon Ollie, of Jackson; and a special friend, Paulette Atkins, of Jackson.
Louise was a caring, loving and giving person. She was such a joy to be around. Louise enjoyed working as a dialysis technician for more than 20 years. She enjoyed life and made countless memories with friends and family. Louise battled heart disease for about three years before transitioning. She had a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
