Greenville – Funeral services for Richard Lamion Martar, 58, of Greenville, are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at Mortimer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger West officiating. Interment follows in Bell Cemetery, Wilmont, Arkansas. Visitation is is 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. He died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Baptist Hospital, Jackson.
Richard was born in Lake Village, Arkansas, on March 14, 1960, the son of Gene and Vaundra Martar. He grew up in Eudora, Arkansas, prior to moving to Greenville. He was a member of the Indian Switch Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed stock car racing. He was a loyal employee and manager of Tire Town, USA, for 21 years. He loved his employers, co-employees and custormers.
He is survived by his parents; wife, Carla Martar; sister, Rhonda (John) Posey; daughters, Dwan (Willie) Powers and Adrian Myers; step-son, Christopher Washington; and six grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his brother, Byron Martar.
